Roz is a private AI personal assistant. This page spells out the small number of things you agree not to do with it, so the Services stay safe, lawful, and available for everyone. It expands on the acceptable-use terms in our Terms of Service — where anything here and the Terms differ, the Terms govern. We enforce this policy in good faith and only as far as we need to.
Use it lawfully
Don’t use the Services to break the law or to help anyone else break it. That includes using Roz to create, store, or distribute content that is illegal where you are, or to process data you don’t have the right to process. You’re responsible for the sources you connect and for having permission to let Roz read what you point it at.
Don’t harm others
Don’t use the Services to:
- infringe someone else’s intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
- send spam, phishing, or other unsolicited or deceptive messages;
- harass, threaten, defame, or stalk anyone; or
- generate content designed to deceive or defraud people.
Don’t attack the Services
Don’t try to break, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Services or the systems and networks behind them. That means no probing or scanning for vulnerabilities without our written permission (for responsible disclosure, see our Security page), no attempts to access accounts or data that aren’t yours, no denial-of-service or automated overload, and no interference with other people’s use of Roz.
Respect the license
Your license to Roz is personal to you and your account. As set out in the Terms, don’t:
- resell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute the Services, or make them available to third parties;
- share, transfer, or resell your account, license, or AI provider keys — a license is for you, not for passing around;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app, or try to derive its source code, except to the narrow extent the law expressly allows; or
- circumvent or tamper with license, entitlement, security, or rate-limiting mechanisms, or remove proprietary notices.
Use the managed AI relay fairly
On our hosted plans, Roz uses the AI compute we manage on your behalf. That’s meant for a real person using Roz as their assistant — not for reselling access, running a competing service on top of it, or driving automated bulk traffic through it. We may apply reasonable rate limits and fair-use limits to keep the relay fast and available for everyone, and we’ll be transparent about them. On BYOK plans you bring your own provider key, so your upstream provider’s own acceptable-use terms also apply.
No accounts for bots
Accounts are for humans who are at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live). Don’t create accounts by automated means or on behalf of bots.
If something goes wrong
If we believe an account is violating this policy, we’ll usually reach out first and give you a chance to put it right, unless the problem is serious or urgent. Where we need to, we may throttle, suspend, or terminate access to protect the Services and other people — and abuse of our staff results in immediate termination. As always, a billing or enforcement problem never locks you out of your own local data: your vault, exports, and the data on your Mac stay yours.
